This is an original piece named "201" after the early Ford I-4 motor, and was done entirely freehand on 5"x7" illustration board using only Ultra Fine Sharpies. In addition, the satin black frame was hand painted using gloss enamels and a paint brush to extend the artwork out onto the frame. I really love doing the frames extended pieces- they really seem to add more fun to everything. For Sale! Available here: www.PinstripeChris.com/Store
great idea but i would suggest using a slightly darker color for the front white and a regular white for the inside of the frame so that the shadow isn't so easy to see
I tint the white enamel to more closely match the papers white, seems to work alright
Nice creative touch! Your work never seizes to amaze me.
Lol man thats a crazy idea you ahve there... @_@ MORE!!!!! "Shut up and take my money." Is whatIi would say ifIi had any X.X
lol- you a Futurama fan? I love the painted framed look- it emphasizes the 'think outside the box' idea
very slick, please tell me you're actually making money from your hard work
Thank you very much! I do Ok, this is what I do to make my living, but you know people will always question the cost of things no matter what it is.
well its good to hear you're getting something, I haven't managed to sell any drawings i've ever done but I haven't tried since none of them are framed and it costs a pretty penny to do so, keep up the great work buddy
Convincing people of "value" can be something of a challenge- but this is how I keep the lights on so keep at it. Not to mention I totally love what I do! Selling is the hardest part, but not impossible. And you're right- frames can be reallllly spendy
