This is an original piece named "201" after the early Ford I-4 motor, and was done entirely freehand on 5"x7" illustration board using only Ultra Fine Sharpies. In addition, the satin black frame was hand painted using gloss enamels and a paint brush to extend the artwork out onto the frame. great idea but i would suggest using a slightly darker color for the front white and a regular white for the inside of the frame so that the shadow isn't so easy to see :)

I tint the white enamel to more closely match the papers white, seems to work alright :)

The Original is Black ink via Ultra Fine Sharpies, and the white and black on the frame is done with gloss enamels via paint brush- both done completely freehand. Kind of a cool way to do mixed media
