Last night I got to meet lots of great artists like Vincent Gabriel, Chris Ralski Amesquita, Michael Bermudez... and see some really cool art from artists who weren't present like Raquel Sturges and Jim Charette. Inspired by all the artwork I saw last night, I decided to do a small Michael Bermudez inspired Sharpie Art piece over coffee this morning. Michael and I share an enthusiasm for HR Giger style work which is where some of our ideas stem from.
lol digital... i think not. A well adjusted (and proper) airbrush spraying a lightly diluted ink will do incredible things. Inks are really great for airbrushing. This was a fun little piece to do- i see some of the elements being used in the future...
Oh come on- you're not giving the airbrush enough credit for what it can do And inks are pretty thin all on their own actually. I'm excited to hear how the pen/ink class goes!
printed some yesterday... they didn't come out perfectly. going to try a different kind of ink next time. Do you have any experience with screenprinting?
No experience with screen printing- thats when I eek an expert. I'm having shirts made now and glad to find someone to trust with it. What are you looking to have screen printed?
The airbrushing looks digital :-P
We have gotten to pen and ink in my art class :-P Maybe I will do something creative on the side lol
I am going to try and screenprint a shirt of my design this week. Hopefully it will turn out well
