I had another idea I wanted to try out today involving more acrylic splashing on a sharpied canvas piece. So I grabbed a fresh piece of 11"x14" canvas and jotted some basic sharpie art down really quick, then used a really simple and fast masking technique to cover up the areas areas I wanted to keep from getting acrylic on. Then I splashed in some black acrylic from the bottom left corner, then red acrylic in from the top right corner. Lastly I removed the mask to reveal the cleanest brightest remaining parts of the canvas. This method worked great to create a layered effect without either set of elements dominating the other. This is just a small test piece, but I'll be able to use what I learned on this to do it on a larger scale
My wife has named this on "Beautiful Disaster" Yes, we are 311 fans I've got this piece for sale, who would like?
